Navajo Ranch has its own community water system which is served by the Navajo Western Water District, a state regulated public utility governed by the laws of Colorado.
The central plant water system is served by a series of wells that tap an underground stream that originates at the base of Mt. Mestas and Silver Mtn. directly to the west of the Navajo Ranch community.
